Located on the inside of a remarkable tight bending meander, it seems to denote a shift in geology where France becomes mountainous and forested, like hills of giant broccoli. We’d definitely consider visiting again. The extra was worth it for us, as we had direct access to the water for the kids. Are there any historical sites close to Camping Huttopia La Plage Blanche?Many travelers enjoy visiting Maison de Louis Pasteur (8.3 miles), Royal Saltworks of Arc-et-Senans (La Saline Royale) (5.9 miles), and Tour Gloriette (8.7 miles). Perhaps the main highlight of the place is some of its tiny restaurants and bars (including an excellent converted space around the old water mill). We didn’t use the pool this looked ok but small for the size of the site. Is Camping Huttopia La Plage Blanche located near the city center?Yes, it is 0.6 miles away from the center of Ounans. Our boys were happy playing in the river, fishing and using inflatables. There was a kids club there (we didn't use it) which seemed to be doing lots of activities with younger kids which seemed really well organised and the kids were loving it.
Je kampeert hier aan de voet van het bergmassief van de Jura met de rivier de Loue stromend naast de camping. Had a lovely 4 night stay in our T5.
Stretched along the river’s edge, the grassy tent pitches here have easy access right down to where the languid waters flow – safe, slow and thoroughly refreshing. We planned to stay in our own tent and just eat at the restaurant because normally camping food is cheap, didn’t bother bringing our cooker, fridge etc.. first, food is only available 18.00 - 20.30, not even a packet of chips at lunchtime.. Night menu is small, burger or pizza basically, then prices, 17 euro for a burger.. it’s gets expensive for a family with a couple drinks.. the food is ok but twice the price of most other sites.. so we changed to one of the site’s tents for our remaking 4 nights .. that actually worked out cheaper, buying our food in the nearby SuperU.. That aside, still a nice site, rustic charm.. clean enough, decent facilities..standard huttopia. One point, the cafe could open for longer, especially through the middle of the day.Beautiful camping in nature — but too expensive on food and drinkLovely wooded site and great pitches by the river. Sounds like a tough life, hey?The water-based fun is symptomatic of the sort of campsite Huttopia La Plage Blanche is. I would also recommend bringing bikes if you can as the campsite is long, about 1 KM end to end and walking from your pitch to the pool/cafe etc can be quite long and tiring in the heat! And the nearest is 50m at the gate of the campsite so not far at all !
The games room was good for our children but again looked untidy and the toilet in this building wasn’t particularly clean with a strong smell of urine. We stayed in a safari tent and our friends in their own tent both right in front of the river. Unlike a lot of other campsites, we found the swimming pool to be big enough and not overcrowded.
