j'ai un peu du mal car il est lent, tendance Forrest Gump un peu lent mais il y a de l'idée et ensuite, Léotout jeune, eh ben.L'histoire et le contenu, c'est pas mal fait et ça divertit, un peu mélo aussi.... je regarde le dvd en plusieurs fois.
P.S. Chef d'œuvre absolu, "What's Eating Gilbert Grape" est de loin, le film le plus réussi de Lasse Hallström. Di Caprio's depiction of autistic child is amazing (did he win an oscar).
Devant le nombre d’aspirants au rôle, le metteur en scène organisa une ultime épreuve : il envoya aux acteurs pressentis la vidéo d’un jeune garçon retardé.

I had a feeling when I started watching that nothing much was happening, but then I realised what was happening and the film carried me along to the end.

L'histoire est touchante et belle, quoique très triste.

Dicaprio est tout bonnement épatant, son rôle est très touchant voir bouleversant, j'ai versé ma larme.
Nun, ich habe 5 Sterne gegeben, da der Film wirklich überzeugt. La prestation de Dicaprio est juste whaou.. A cet âge là, interprêter un rôle aussi complexe c'est juste grandiose, monstrueux ! Maybe it's just a memory that has so many dreams mixed in with it that it never really existed at all.
