The lunch’s downstairs however not so great but then Swiss food has an identity crisis, it’s not really any particular cuisine but a medley. The alternative would be to go to their beautiful bar Waves on the seventh floor but alas - no kids are permitted up there! Location couldn't have been better right next to the marina, very close to the city center where you can find plenty of good restaurants and also not far from the funicular that would take you to the train station to go on excursions in the region.
Don't come here with family..Staying at the hotel one night, two adults and two kids (5 + 11), Swiss family. No concierge available, so she also had to handle the various guests looking for a place to eat (we were not the only ones). View was nice from inside the room but felt a little claustrophobic. Booked two weeks ago via telephone, asked for email confirmation twice which never arrived. To add insult to injury - as an alternative to their beautiful Lakeside Sushi restaurant - we got recommended a Sushi Bar that is a hole in the wall and could be found in any suburb (maybe brilliant food but terrible setting). As the most prominent hotel in Neuchâtel, we look forward to welcoming you to our premium property. After entering the "Non Allergy" room we found out that the bedding had duck feathers filling.
Staff were efficient, friendly and helpful - our room wasn't ready and they kept our luggage whilst we went for a wet and windy walk to while away the time until it was ready! After arrival at the premises in the afternoon we were told that there is no possibility for our family (2 adults with kids) to eat at the hotel's restaurant. Impossible to sleep!Checking-in was below average. We got a triple room with view on the lake, the beds were very comfortable. Unfortunately, we couldn't dine in the restaurant as it was fully booked - general public not all hotel guests, which is a little naughty, particularly if the weather had been chilly, wet and windy! I obviously would have chosen another hotel had I known this. I was the first to check in from my group and my room was on the first floor with nice views to the lake but obscured by poles and roofing below. Had to wait for over an hour to get our room ready. Check-In.
Rooms are fine for single traveller but small for a couple. Room 136 was very clean and we had a lake view.

Spent a Saturday night in Neuchatel in September and the hotel had private party going in their discotheque with the windows open and the occasional drunk yelling out the windows. The food is ok (above average) and on the expensive side - I highly recommend coming here for the drinks and views! It’s not that I wouldn’t return to Beaulac as much as I wouldn’t return to Neuchatel. This was going unti 4am.
