Didn't expect that such a famous station would be such a disasterWe came by to pick up a car that we had hired and was located here. Board, sit in train for 2 hours, land. The Europeans in line don't seem to be too surprised, as I imagine this is the new normal for them now. According to Tripadvisor travelers, these are the best ways to experience Gare du Nord:

No joke there was a 2 hour wait and almost all trains were delayed and hundreds of people missed their train. We traveled from Amsterdam to Paris aboard the Eurostar and loved every minute of it. This tour includes a skip-the-line admission ticket, which should save hours of waiting in line. Every other vendor had no problem canceling and refunding my money because of the circumstances! Come and hour early, check-in, get a coffee, and wait to board. The Eurostar is located a few floors above subway level. It took us quite awhile and a lot of questions before we figured out that you take the lift to the second floor and enter a security screening and passport control before you cross over to the waiting area for the Eurostar. It was a very good experience. The day before travel, we took a train to Gare du Nord, it's quite confusing to go from the local metro platform to the international platform. I'm sure the staff have to deal with a lot of irate passengers. The 5.13pm sold out just minutes ago. We had planned on staying near this station because we wanted to do a day trip to London. I took the Eurostar from Paris to London and it was a pleasant train ride. There were no announcements I guess since they didn't want to cause panic. The train is prompt and you do not want to miss it. They truly suck!Without a doubt one of the coolest experiences I have ever had. My experience to/from Paris and London was just fine each time. I had scheduled a ticket to visit Paris for the first time while staying in London and I didn't know they use military time, they could not refund me the money nor let me get in the train or get me a new ticket knowing I have booked it wrong... things happen but they didn't care to return to London I had to buy another ticket for the next day I am so disappointed that their costumer could not help me at all. Then the two trains originally an hour apart got processed one at a another which created massive ques and confusion.

Another major benefit is the Paris-London train travels from a central Eurostar Paris station – Gare du Nord to central Eurostar London station (St. Pancras). There were quite a lot of trains here which was really nice.

The train station was extremely well organized and clean, we arrived early to watch Amsterdam prepare for a regular work day. The lady at the upstairs waiting lounge told me to ask those standing next to the train. Then the two trains originally an hour apart got processed one at a another which created massive ques and confusion. Cowards. The other immigration officers were so quick and very kind. One told me that she isn't allowed to touch my bag and that I should ask other passengers for help (interesting concept except none of the passengers is employed and paid by the Eurostar). Once aboard the train you must carry your own luggage and place it in the train yourself before being seated.

Paris Gare Du Nord is Europe’s busiest train station, so if you're a first time user, this guide to navigating the station, should help make sense of what can be a bewildering location.

(Gare de Nord) has lots of signs in English so it is easy to find the taxi rank and all announcements are in both English and French.Eurostar trains can travel as fast as 186 mph (300 I swear, reading the Yelp reviews had me stressin our WAY BEFORE WE CROSSED THE POND! Overall good experience that's an alternative to flying. We were traveling to London and took this two our train through the Chunnel. Otherwise the service was absolutely outrageous.
