Overall value was moderate.This was the best food experience that we received in Paris. The waiter was very knowledgeable and friendly. Everything was lovely, the way dining is supposed to be, like in the good old days!I have been dining here for more than forty years (every time I come to Paris). I did enjoy my French onion soup and my husband liked his ravioli, however the lobster was a tad bland. Would never return.The quality of the food was really disappointing. The waiter brought us champagne at the end, gratis! The dining room is typical of French bistros; outdoor dining is impractical (for us) because the restaurant is situated on a busy corner. Dessert looked good but at that point I was so aggravated with him that I decided to go elsewhere. It has never disappointed! We were early for our 3:30 reservation but The restaurant closed at 3:30. The most disappointing thing was the way the patrons were allowed to dress - had at least a dozen people walk by our table dressed in jeans, gym shorts, tee shirts, etc.

I will not be returning.Booked this beautiful restaurant on the day ready for a traditional romantic evening meal. Server was terrible. However disappointed with the service because although we explained we cannot have pink meat due to pregnancy which the waiter understood completely and we checked twice it would be cooked well done the steak fillet came out pink! We thought the restaurant was beautiful, very nice decor, elegant, etc. However, in the end it's the food that counts, and it just wasn't up to standard.We loved our dining experience at Cafe de la Paix. A shrimp platter came out with large prawns that were completely encased in their shells and nearly impossible to open and with no accompaniment. They did seat us but let us know, we are closing in 20 minutes.One of the worst dining experiences I have ever had........steak undercooked.....sent back....everyone was finished eating when I received my steak back........still undercooked......service terrible....attitude even worseAmazing restaurant.
We really appreciated it. The restaurant is old world beautiful, like eating in a palace complete with painted ceilings. There was nothing but DELIGHT!
