As previously a VIP snack basket was provided for the journey, however the drivers flatly refused to allow any of this to be consumed within the vehicles and were then unhappy that departure was then delayed by ten minutes whilst children were given a snack before the journey. Nothing has been too much trouble for her she has been fantastic and we have enjoyed her company a lot. They ensure you will have ski lift queue priority, allowing you to spend optimum time skiing. Your ski pass includes one day in Les Deux Alpes, so what are you waiting for?! Alpe d’Huez is known locally as the Ile de Soleil, Island of Sunshine. Would definitely recommend the resort to anyone wanting to learn to ski or wanting more advanced slopes! The chalet was superb, well-located and the resort has a wide range of skiing available. Arriving in Grenoble however we were provided with one 4 seat car and one 6 seat mini bus meaning families had to split across vehicles. So good we booked again for next year mid week. For the ultimate exhilaration, experience the silence and taste the freedom of flying in perfect safety. The only thing that stands out is the food, this was our first trip with VIP, and to be fair we expected more. One thing we particularly liked was having our boots and skis delivered to the chalet on the first day, a really nice touch and something that has never been done for us in any other resort. Reservations in advance are essential.Situated at 2,700m and accessible via the Grandes Rousses DMC lift, this ice cave was constructed by two mountain guides, Bruon Gardent and Bernard Lambolez.

Our sympathies go especially to the resort staff whose season was suddenly cut short, to all the bitterly disappointed skiers who now have to wait for next year and to all the VIP office staff who are having to mop up the chaos. Patrick and Jack the chalet hosts were absolutely brilliant, they catered for our every needs from the culinary delights to advice on were to drink!! A return trip can be booked from the Alpe d'Huez Altiport for only 70 euros per person. The sauna and hot tub worked well. Rated as an excellent resort for all levels of skier and boarders there are 38 green slopes and 31 blue as well as two protected areas for beginners. 3. Groups consist of no more than 5 people ensuring you'll get the best from your tuition. All the guests got on very well. This 200 year old traditional mountain house has been carefully renovated and transformed into a mountainside guesthouse with 4 charming guest suites.
